About

As a student
David graduated from NC State University with a BA in Film Studies and a minor in Creative Writing.

As an artist
David is currently based in Raleigh, N.C. – his interest lies in documentary filmmaking, mixed-media production, and experimenting with visual communication. His work has ranged from directing documentary assignments abroad for the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, to editorial work on various Discovery television shows, and most frequently web-video and multimedia production for all walks of business. With a foundation in editing, David has closely worked as a contributing editor for the documentary film ‘Without a Fight’ due to release in Spring 2012.  Currently, David works with Red Hat as a multimedia producer for their video team in Raleigh, NC and is also directing his first documentary film titled “My Masculinity Helps” – a film commissioned through N.C. State University and the Department of Justice that examines the help of African American men and boys in the fight against rape and sexual violence.

As an individual
David is a lefty, amateur vintage moped mechanic, fish taco enthusiast, espresso lover, jokester guru, and that guy who takes nothing too seriously – except visual storytelling.
